What is database

Before Starting basic sql let us have a little idea about databases

• what's the use of a database ?
• what is DBMS and RDBMS ?

DATABASE : A database is a collection of information that is organized so that it can easily be accessed, managed, and updated.The purpose of database is to store and retrive related information.The data is stored in the form of tables(rows and columns) and can be used for further information.

DBMS : DBMS or database management system is software that facilitates the user to define,create and maintain database and provide total control access to that database.

RDBMS : RDBMS or Relational database management system is software that facilitates the user to create database in the form of tables and also stores the relationship among data in the form of tables. As the relation ship between the data is made so the retrieval of data will be easy.
